Our Shipping Policies
Here in Canada, shipping is a bit wonky. Depending on the weight and size of a package, it can cost more to send a few skeins within Canada than to New York or Paris. We use a Canada Post plug-in to calculate shipping prices for customers outside the U.S, but it is an imperfect system. Occasionally, the price quoted for regular mail and expedited are so close as to make little difference. In that case, we send using the expedited option. For our U.S. customers, we offer flat rates using the Canada Post Small Packet option. This option does not include a tracking number, and can be slowed by seasonal rushes. It is a risk, but as yet we've had no problems with it, so it's a risk we're willing to take. If it's not one you particularly fancy, let us know. We're open to offering a tracked option if that's what our customers want. We ship orders within 2 business days of receiving payment unless otherwise noted on our pages.
Our Prices
Our prices are in Canadian dollars, and Canadian customers are charged GST. Ontarians will also see RST - retail or provincial sales tax - on their orders. International customers can use a currency converter to figure things out.
